Creating your GarageHQ account

Every GarageHQ customer starts with a 14-day free trial, no credit card needed. This guide walks through the three ways to create an account and what happens after you sign in for the first time.

1. Open the sign-in page

Go to garagehq.uk and click Start free trial or Sign in in the header. Either link takes you to the sign-in page.

2. Choose how you'd like to sign in

You'll see up to three options, depending on what's available:

Continue with Microsoft

Best for: most customers. Handles email + password + optional two-factor authentication out of the box.

Click Continue with Microsoft. You'll jump to a GarageHQ-branded Microsoft sign-in page hosted by Microsoft Entra External ID. First-time visitors get a Create account link; returning users enter their existing email + password.

After you sign in (or sign up), you come straight back to GarageHQ signed in.

Continue with Google

Best for: anyone who already uses a Google account and wants one-click sign-in.

Click Continue with Google and pick an account from Google's chooser. GarageHQ receives your name + email from Google — no password involved, no extra form to fill.

Sign in with email

Best for: customers who'd rather not tie their workspace to a Microsoft or Google identity.

Type your email and click Sign in with email. We'll mail you a one-time sign-in link that's valid for 10 minutes. Click the link in the email and you're signed in — no password to remember, no account to create ahead of time.

3. First sign-in: set up your organisation

Brand new accounts land on the onboarding page to create an organisation (a "workspace" for you + any team members). See Setting up your organisation for the next step.

Troubleshooting

  • "We couldn't find an account with this email address" — means the Microsoft provider didn't find an existing account for that address. Click Create account on the Microsoft page to sign up first.
  • No email after clicking Sign in with email — check spam. The sender is noreply@garagehq.uk. If it still doesn't arrive, try Google or Microsoft instead (same account, different provider).
  • Google sign-in stuck on "Signing in…" — usually means a pop-up blocker intercepted Google's chooser. Allow pop-ups for garagehq.uk and retry.
